Davide Di Staso

ESR01  (TUDELFT)

Davide Di Staso started as an ESR on 1 January 2022, joining the department of Human-Centered Design at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, The Netherlands. Davide is doing research on data capacity building for citizens and communities. Davide’s research is aimed at creating methodologies that can facilitate the reuse of open datasets to describe social issues. He is currently exploring how different design practices and types of ‘making’ can contribute to the collective articulation of social issues using open data. Previous research found that there is great value in building communities around open datasets and the issues they describe. However, there is a need to thoroughly explore the mechanisms that facilitate – or impede – issue articulation when working with open data in a collaborative setting. Davide was the lead author of the publication on Serious games for building data capacity as published in the Scientific journal Interdisciplinary Description of Complex Systems – INDECS.
