Charalampos Alexopoulos is senior researcher and adjunct professor at the Department of Information and Communications Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean, teaching Smart Cities Technologies, Big, Open and Linked Data Management, Interoperability and Digital Governance. He is also a founding member of the Digital Government Research Center leading Open Data and Interoperability Unit.
He is involved in numerous research projects funded by HORIZON, CEF, ERASMUS and National funding. He has published more than 50 studies in international journals and conferences, and actively participates in reviewing committees. In 2015, Harris was ranked as one of the most prolific researchers in open data research by Hossain, Dwivedi and Rana (2015).
